Eagle’s Sam Bradford Wants Out of Philly

Philadelphia saved a few million dollars in 2016 by avoiding the franchise tag, which would’ve paid Bradford $19.95 over one year. The question is whether the Eagles are willing to trade Bradford. “That’s 100 percent accurate”.

While it is safe to say that all quarterbacks now on an National Football League roster could potentially be in play for trades on Thursday, the truth is that the draft may just offer a little more clarity moving forward in terms of who really wants what.

Frustrated quarterback Sam Bradford is remaining with the Philadelphia Eagles for now, as the reigning Super Bowl champions, Denver Broncos, quickly backed out from a trade talk after showing interest in him.

There also are reports that the Rams have trade partners for Foles, now inextricably linked to Bradford.

Bradford, not liking the fact that he has to compete with someone for a starting spot, has demanded a trade according to reports. Additionally, there could be questions as to whether Bradford has lost respect among the other players in the locker room. But it doesn’t appear that will be easy for either the Eagles or Bradford to execute.

“I want to reiterate our support for Sam Bradford and go back to our statements last week – that Sam is our starting quarterback”, Roseman said.

The Rams, which also moved up in the draft, are also a near lock to select a quarterback with the first overall pick. Organized team activities (OTAs) and training camps are approaching, and they would not want to be carrying any roster problems as these take place.

It’s the residual effect of the Eagles’ wonderful climb up the draft to the second overall pick.

Bradford, 28, re-signed with the Eagles in March, a two-year deal that had a maximum value of $40 million with $22 million guaranteed.

Meanwhile, TMZ posted a video of Carson Wentz’s college roommate at North Dakota State saying he’s no Johnny Manziel. The trade, in which Philadelphia gave up five of their own selections over the next two years, means they are likely to recruit a quarterback.
