Robertson is already signed with Cal and has his financial aid agreemeent in place.

Robertson picked Cal over Notre Dame, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Stanford, and every other program in college football.

“This was just the best fit for me”.

According to Bruce Feldman, a college football writer for Fox Sports, Robertson originally committed to Alabama, then decommitted last spring.

Notre Dame’s 2016 recruiting class ranks 15th nationally per 247Sports. “It was a great day and nothing better than that great feeling after you leave church and just being a positive day so I just wanted to keep the positivity going on”.

The Savannah Christian Prep (Ga.) product is ranked as the top wide receiver in the country on the 247Sports Composite, as well as the third-ranked player in Georgia and the 14th-ranked player overall in the class of 2016. He also returned punts and kickoffs. Despite the loss of six receivers, Cal should have a strong set of wideouts with Melquise Stovall, Carlos Strickland, Greyson Bankhead and now Robertson.

Asked if there was a possibility that Robertson could play on both sides of the ball, ala Myles Jack at UCLA or Shaq Thompson at Washington, Dykes didn’t rule it out, but said, “We’ll see what he’s capable of in terms of stamina”. So I like him a lot.
