(CNN) – The Rio Olympics are less than 100 days away and it seems South Korean athletes are taking no chances when it comes to the threat of contracting the Zika virus.

Will Rio de Janeiro be ready for the Olympics in August?
RIO DE JANEIRO – Rio de Janeiro launched on Wednesday the 100-day countdown to the Olympic Games, with the government and sports leaders insisting it will be a landmark occasion, despite chaotic preparations and Brazil’s political meltdown.
The U.S. team also revealed its Ralph Lauren-designed closing-ceremony outfits Wednesday, and the Americans don’t seem as anxious.
The Olympic flame was kindled April 21 in the traditional ceremony held in ancient Olympia, followed by a week long torch relay through Greece.
Rio 2016 president Carlos Nuzman stated “The symbolism of receiving the Olympic flame at this location is very emotional, and it is a very large responsibility”.
However, there are serious delays to the velodrome, while a crucial extension of Rio’s now limited metro system is only due to open at the start of July, leaving dangerously little leeway. “And they deserve a world that gives them more than assistance; they deserve a world that is at peace”, he said. But then again, you’ve got to take it day by day.
Rio authorities also admitted that 11 people had died in the past three years on Rio Olympics construction projects.
