Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: ‘Tottenham will win all their matches’

Leicester, who dramatically escaped relegation from the Premier League last season, went eight points clear at the top of the table after crushing Swansea City 4-0 on Sunday. After the first goal, they played very well, it was football they know, on counter attack and for us it was more hard. We can have no regret. Our business is Manchester United, we have to fight until the end for the top four and that’s what we are going to do. “Because never more can pass this fantastic moment”.

Claudio Ranieri has backed Riyad Mahrez to rediscover his form and insists his Leicester title-chasers can cope without Jamie Vardy.

“Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable. I think our fans woke up from the dream and said: “We now have only one [more] match at home” and they want to enjoy it with us and push with all their hearts”.

Riyad Mahrez, who on Sunday evening was named the PFA Player of the Year, opened the scoring on ten minutes when he punished Ashley Williams’s poor clearance with a precision shot past Lukasz Fabianski.

Argentine forward Ulloa took his tally to six this term with his double deputising for the suspended Jamie Vardy.

Ulloa received a rapturous ovation after he came off with a back injury but the King Power, by now in full party mode, could celebrate one final goal after Albrighton followed up fine work from substitute Demarai Gray to hammer in from close range five minutes from time.

“Once, you can do a fantastic performance without Jamie, but, if Jamie takes another day off with suspension, it’s important to be solid, to be stronger than today because United is a very good team”, he said.

“We have a big game next week against Tottenham and if we can beat them, it will be good”. It will be a hard match.

However, they could have left Wearside empty-handed as Patrick van Aanholt hit the woodwork with a first-half free-kick and Cech made a series of important saves after the break to keep Sam Allardyce’s men at bay in front of a crowd of 45,420.

The partnership will bring new, redesigned fourth officials’ boards from next season in the shape and style of TAG Heuer’s Carrera watch and referees will wear its Connected smart watch.

“We were always in the right position to get the ball”. But he has remained patient and, as he told his club’s website, ready to help the team and play “10, 20 or 90 minutes”.
