Trump Holds 15-Point Lead Over Cruz in Indiana Ahead of Primary

A rowdy voice rose up from the crowd. “I’m not against anybody, but I will be voting for Ted Cruz in the Republican primary”. But support for the state party wavered once some Cruz supporters began pushing for a slate made up entirely of Cruz people, a scenario that has played out at other state conventions like in ME and Arizona to the advantage of the Cruz campaign.

“Apparently, the young man is having some problems”, the Senator said.

He added, “I don’t know Boehner”.

But Cruz campaign organizer Constantin Querard says simple math led to the at-large victory.

The Republican National Committee, which hosts its nominating convention in Cleveland in July, pounced on the scenes as an indictment of Democrats. Ted Cruz have won spots in the national convention as Trump delegates, much to the ire of the NY businessman, who has complained of a “rigged” system. “Somebody can say whatever they want to say, make you feel good, get you all worked up”.

If polls are correct, Cruz is on the verge of his own spanking that might force him from the race. But this is no usual Republican presidential primary, and Fiorina’s appearance won’t quite be the return of a favorite daughter. But, he added, “We’re ready if it gets voted down”. His allies had long thought IN fertile ground for his efforts if the nomination was still undecided this late.

“A state judge in NY held a hearing Tuesday in yet another case relating to the defunct Trump University education program”.

Clinton’s campaign had largely written off the IN primary before Sunday. “You are the heart of America”. “The country is depending on IN to bring some sober common sense”, Cruz told reporters IN Indianapolis, “instead of going down a rash course of action that is endangering this country”. Ben Sasse, or someone else who has honorably recoiled from Trump, confine her to a single term. “There are people who don’t like Trump, but never Trump? No”.

Gov. Doug Ducey opened the convention by calling on the party faithful to end Democratic control of the White House.

“My belief, after studying all of this, is you have got to look at the fine print”, Clinton said of Trump and Sen.

Cruz’s path the nomination is increasingly narrow, and he does little to inspire the GOP Establishment’s loyalty. Tuesday’s primary has 57 delegates on the line.

“Even Mike Pence, who would be sort of a natural Cruz guy”, Smulyan said, “hedged his bets a lot today”. Cruz and his affiliated super PACs have cash to keep up the fight.

Part of Cruz’s challenge is, quite simply, few Republicans actually like him.

Cruz also fired back at comments former House Speaker John Boehner made earlier this week referring to Cruz as “Lucifer in the flesh” and a “miserable son of a b–“.

Several Trump supporters said they were roughed up, but no serious injuries were reported.

Cruz’s state political director, Michael Schroeder, agreed. Cruz and Ohio Gov. John Kasich follow with 34 percent and 13 percent respectively.

“Nobody’s going to clinch it on the first ballot”, the conservative U.S. senator from Texas said. “We can turn this around”.

“Everybody pounds it into you that you can’t win without a dramatic change”, Page said after hearing Trump give a 30-minute speak filled with his trademark braggadocio and jokes. But Fiorina was trounced in the general election, losing by 1 million votes after being hammered for her stewardship of Hewlett Packard and role in outsourcing jobs overseas.

It’s a frenetic pace that has left Cruz exhausted. He was set to start his Monday in a café in Osceola, population 2,500.
