Fury labels Klitschko boring, no-risk fighter

Tyson Fury shocked the world when he claimed the heavyweight title against Wladimir Klitschko last November. He might talk a good game and say he’s going to come and fight but I’m yet to see it. The only entertaining ones he had were when he lost by knockout, so that’s what happens when he tries to fight.

Klitschko had been world champion since 2006 when he was beaten on points by Fury, who is unbeaten in 25 professional fights – 18 of them won by knockout.

‘I need to get halfway through June before I’m even in shape.

The duo are set to do battle at the Manchester Arena in two months’ time and Fury wasted little time in goading the 40-year-old in front of a large media presence last month.

‘It’s going to be my my last fight. Enjoy it while you can.

He added: “This is the reason I’m retiring after my next fight, to spend the my time with these guys, missing my kids get grow!” That’s how I’m gonna be after this next fight. “Piers tweeted a fat picture of me, saying he’s fitter than the heavyweight champion of the world and inspirational”. Wladimir said exactly the same as yesterday so if anyone wants to know what he’s got to say, it’s just like yesterday because he’s boring, repetitive and says the same thing day-in, day-out.

“I’m well sick of boxing to be honest”.

During an interview in Cologne he spoke of taking drugs and his battle for acceptance, but it was comments about the fight game and his conditioning – he looked 56lbs (25kg) overweight – which caused the biggest stir. Like I say it’s going to be my last fight I think, s*** or bust.

Tyson Fury has been compared to Conor McGregor in many respects, and this latest retirement announcement is just another parallel for people to draw. Klitschko knows what to expect.
