Mr. Cruz called Mr. Kasich a “good” and “honorable” man. He said he and Mr. Kasich disagree on a number of policy issues, but they agree nominating GOP front-runner Donald Trump would effectively hand the presidential election to Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton. “This is a process that we’ve done before of right-sizing the campaign as we move through the calendar”, he said.

“Look how well I did with women tonight”, Trump said Tuesday from the hotel lobby of Trump Tower, aiming to draw a comparison between his support among the demographic versus Clinton’s.

She posted a video and is fundraising off Trump accusing her of playing the woman card. “The only card she has is the woman’s card”, he said to the crowd. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) says cutting hundreds of staffers isn’t a sign of throwing in the towel but a product of reorganization to focus on remaining states. “The Democratic Party has to reach a fundamental conclusion: are we on the side of working people, or big money interests?” He added that Clinton “has nothing else going” for her, and posited that if Clinton “were a man, I don’t think she would get five percent of the vote”.

People who outwardly back both Mr Sanders and Mr Trump are even more of a rarity.

Donald Trump was not at all humble when speaking after his five wins in the Northeast.

Sanders’ rival, Hillary Clinton, already appears to be looking beyond the primary contests with Sanders and toward the November general election. Ted Cruz. Ohio Gov. John Kasich came in third.

Mr Cruz awaits next week’s IN primary as the latest opportunity to halt the Trump bandwagon and push the race toward a contested convention.

When compared to the Republicans, the case of the Democrats is clearer, as Clinton now holds 2,169 delegates, including 519 super delegates who have special privileges.

Though it took him until almost halfway through his speech, Bernie Sanders did touch on college affordability which may have sounded familiar on to the campus.
