Ranieri focused only on Leicester City

“I think I’m on a flight back from Italy so it’s hard for me to watch the match”, the Italian said.

Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater will not face any further suspension or disciplinary action due to his red card yesterday against Manchester United.

Leicester City’s coronation as Premier League champions was put on ice after the Foxes were held to a 1-1 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford, but with the league title still nearly all but certain, fans remained in a positive mood as they poured out of the “Theatre of Dreams”. However, Chelsea might fight especially hard to knock their rivals out of the race.

To that statement I must pose this question: Why can’t Leicester City challenge for the title next year?

“We knew how important a win would have been, so it’s a big blow for us”.

Anthony Martial rewarded United’s impressive start by giving the hosts an eighth-minute lead from Antonio Valencia’s cross, but Leicester equalised nine minutes later when Drinkwater crossed for Wes Morgan to head home.

Their one-all draw at Old Trafford leaves them within two points of becoming Champions for the first time in the club’s history.

Chelsea preventing Spurs from winning would allow Ranieri to return to Stamford Bridge in triumph for Leicester’s final game of the season, but he is keeping his mind firmly on the here and now.

“We chose to have a look online for the odds for Leicester to win the league and we just couldn’t resist when we saw it was 5,000/1”. We created far more chances than them in the first half and controlled the game for long periods as well, but to concede from one set-play is disappointing.

Fellaini, who has struggled to win over the United supporters even since his £27.5m arrival from Everton three years ago, later suffered the ignominy of being sarcastically cheered off when replaced by Ander Herrera in the second-half. “We changed the line-up and you can see there was not the body language you need for a comeback”, said Klopp.

“Without Vardy it was hard for us to stretch the defensive line but I am very pleased with our composure, performance”.

But as has been the case all season, the Foxes rose to the challenge and Wes Morgan equalised soon after against the run of play.

Television cameras showed United’s Fellaini swinging an elbow at Huth after the Leicester defender grabbed his hair in an incident that appeared to go unseen by Oliver.
