Sturridge wasn’t ignoring fans – Klopp
Dean Saunders has urged Jurgen Klopp to start Daniel Sturridge in Liverpool’s return leg against Villarreal at Anfield on Thursday night.

“I went too immediately”, said the charismatic German, responding to criticism of the 26-year old and his apparent disinterest in the Reds dedicated support.
The visitors were hit with a setback in the 76th minute when Brad Smith received his second yellow, and they struggled to get back into the game as they slumped to a 3-1 defeat.
After the Swansea defeat, Sturridge posted on his official Twitter account: “A bsolutely gutted”.
After having arguably his worst performance for Liverpool this season, the English Striker didn’t join his team-mates to applaud the traveling Liverpool fans.
Liverpool put in a lacklusture performance at the Liberty Stadium following their midweek Europa League semi-final against Villarreal, and Klopp was disappointed with the performance his young side produced.
“It is nobody else’s fault”. Loads and loads. You know them all and you can even probably include the weather, which Liverpool never got to grips with, and the fact that Martin Skrtel is on the pitch. “After a game like this, he wants to leave and go home, recover and do a lot of things”.
“If the team selection didn’t give it away – it was their youngest starting XI of the Premier League era – then the lack of concentration from the players certainly did”. I felt we were safe a few weeks ago, without being mathematically safe.
“I spoke to him yesterday and everything is fine”. However, I am only frustrated because we could have played better. “He didn’t play on Thursday, so now we have four or five days until Thursday again, so everything is good”.
It was Swansea’s fourth consecutive home win of the season – their best ever Premier League run and they did it in emphatic style.
But Guidolin, who was hired in January to keep the club up, said he had completed his mission after arriving from Italy.
“When I arrived the situation was hard, but now we have 43 points and this is important for me, my career and my experience”.
Francesco Guidolin says he is proud to have led Swansea City to Premier League safety.
“It has always been Andre’s dream to play for Liverpool but unfortunately they opted to pursue other targets at the time”, McKay said previously.
