Drake Tells Toronto Crowd New Music is Coming Soon

Video footage posted to Instagram seems to confirm that fact, showing Drake celebrating the milestone on his home turf, Toronto; where a party was hosted to celebrate Views’ release. Indeed, the rapper’s already managed to outperform his career-best; in which his last album, Nothing Was The Same, sold 658,000 copies in the U.S. in its first seven days of availability.

Now, they exclusively released his new “Views” album but it’s a really good thing the rapper will be making it available in other platforms as well.

If Views hits the projected target, it will become the 10th album to sell more than 800,000 copies in a single week in the past decade. The last album to sell more than 800,000 in a week was Adele’s 25, which was released in November (15).

In a touching move by the 6 God, Drake has announced via one of the slides that he has dedicated the entire Views album to cancer sufferer Megan Flores. The two-day figures for Views would total a greater number than Beyonce’s first week sales of Lemonade, which was a Tidal exclusive for about 24 hours and used HBO as an added medium of presentation.
