Habitat for Humanity presents Women’s Build Week
Dozens of women kicked off the week with a girls night out build in Woodstock. More than 300 Habitat locations will host National Women Build Week activities this year, including new home construction and neighborhood revitalization projects.

In honor of National Women Build Week, women in the Lowcountry are coming together along with Charleston Habitat for Humanity to help build homes.
On Wednesday, May 4, a group of female officers and civilian employees with the Georgetown Police Department will volunteer at a Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County (HFHWC) home in Georgetown as part of Habitat’s National Women Build Week.
National Women Build Week started Saturday and runs through May 8 across the country.
The 2016 Women Build in Springfield is a home renovation for a new HFHS partner homebuyer.
According to the Rochester Habitat for Humanity, they have built more than 70 homes since 1990.
Some of the women are brand new to the construction world, others have been building for decades. “Habitat has done one about ten years ago, and we want to get our ladies together in Rapid City and build a complete house eventually”, added Stagger.

Women Build is a Habitat for Humanity initiative, created to empower women to break stereotypes and encourage them to participate in the construction of houses for low-income families.
