“It felt like I was crossing the border actually”. Some of the delegates sported GOP-red outfits.
Burlingame Police Lt. Jay Kiely said on Friday that five people were arrested. “He’s for America and business”, said Gilbert, 71, of Woodside.
“I think it’s going to get worse before it gets better”.

Protesters hung a banner that read “Dump Trump” from an overhead walkway near the entrance. A man wearing a Trump T-shirt One man was injured in the face.
A Trump supporter walking toward the hotel was surrounded by protesters.
“It shows the party is moving toward Cruz in the West”, he said.
“I’ve been saying for months I will vote for Trump in the first through the last ballot”, said Buckwalter, an estate and trusts lawyer from suburban Philadelphia. “I’m here to redress grievances now preemptively”, she said. His vice presidential pick, Carly Fiorina, who unsuccessfully ran for the Senate from California in 2010, was scheduled to speak Saturday night.
On CBS, Sen. Lindsey Graham, who has endorsed Cruz even though he has said he loathes the Texas senator, said Trump’s foreign policy amounts to “isolationism”.
Trump has snapped up support from California stalwarts like Strickland, Ted Costa and former congressman Doug Ose.
In what experts say is preview of more such incidents, Trump supporters were attacked by anti-Trump protesters while leaving a rally in California Thursday night.
“We have a density of Latinos you don’t see in other places”, Henry Vandermeir, chairman of the Orange County Democratic Party, said of the state.
The poll is the latest in a slew of surveys that have found Trump expanding his lead in Indiana.
Friday proved to be a wild day for both Trump and California Republicans in general, who have always been ignored in the Golden State.
Early on at the state’s convention over the weekend, the Republican Party of Virginia was expected to put up a slate comprised of a mix of each presidential campaign’s supporters. But only on the first ballot.
“It’s unprecedented, the way that they are trying to disenfranchise their own constituents”, said Harper, who expects to appear on the Trump slate as an at-large delegate.
