Trump as 15-point lead over Cruz in Indiana
HARRISONBURG, Virginia (CNN) – Ted Cruz dominated yet another delegate selection process over the weekend, winning 10 of the 13 at-large delegate slots available at the Virginia state GOP Convention – delegates the Texas senator hopes he can use in a second ballot at the Republican National Convention in July.

“Yes, it’s over”, Trump said on “Fox News Sunday” when host Chris Wallace asked if a win in the Hoosier State Tuesday would end Cruz’s chances.
According to the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News/Marist poll, 58% of likely Indiana Republican primary voters said they disapproved of the deal, which involved Kasich sitting out the primary.
A Reuters/Ipsos tracking poll showed 19 percent of respondents would not vote in a White House race between Trump and Clinton.
Cruz spokeswoman Catherine Frazier says Fiorina missed a step Sunday but was uninjured and continues to campaign on behalf of the senator in Indiana.
His answer: “Yes, it’s over”.
The possibility that front-runner Trump will fail to win the magic tally of 1,237 votes on a first ballot has the two remaining GOP presidential hopefuls – Ohio Gov. John Kasich and Texas Sen. “If we win IN, it’s over”.
Coming into Tuesday’s primary, all but one poll has Trump head and defeating Cruz by a margin of between 2 and 17 points.
“I am not going to be part of the demise of this country”, he said.
A strong performance by Cruz would keep the angry primary fight going, and put an intense focus on California, which votes June 7. He has gotten the endorsement of Indiana Governor Mike Pence and announced Carly Fiorina as his running mate in order to gain the momentum.
Americans will elect a successor to President Barack Obama on November 8.
He ended the night with a Kobe Bryant-esque mic drop and comment: “Obama out”.
“You’re the ideal man for the job”, a man told him as diners consumed coffee and eggs.
A line Hillary Clinton will like: “Next year at this time, someone else will be standing here in this very spot”.
The democratic race has a similar path. “Even though the media stands to make millions of dollars off the debate, you hear radio silence from the media about no debates”.
Donald Trump’s resounding victory in Saturday’s MA caucuses provides some insurance in case of a contested Republican convention. That amount typically comes when he files his federal reports on the 20th of each month.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, the Republican frontrunner concentrated on attacking Clinton, doubling down on his much-criticized statement that the likely Democratic nominee’s only appeal to voters is the “woman’s card”. Pollster Steve Koczela reported earlier that “interviews with party insiders suggest little consensus as to how the state committee will vote on the delegates it gets to pick”. “Somebody messed with the system”.
It was a weird scene: Voting delegates at the gathering in Mesa were instructed by organizers to log on to NeverHillary. In subsequent rounds, more and more delegates would be free to vote their own preferences – meaning Trump delegates could jump to Cruz, who has done better than his rival at winning over many of them. He also has said the question should be left to states to decide. But before Trump could even arrive, protesters locked arms to block the convention’s front entrance. Trump and his entourage got out and walked into the building.

“He said nicer things about me than Cruz”, Trump said.
