Sunday’s “American Country Countdown Awards” ceremony was certainly not a ratings blockbuster, but it did manage to slightly outperform last year’s broadcast.
Underwood, 33, who is now on tour, nabbed the Female Vocalist of the Year. Also, she was all over the news for several reasons.
The “Heartbeat” singer hit the red carpet in a sheer gown with white panels from Gauri & Nainika, pairing her look with a coral lip and wavy locks. “And one fan in particular, Isley Thibodeaux, this is for you”, Underwood said, raising her trophy in the air.
Carrie may have her hands full with her little man, but the musician recently revealed she actually thought she was having a girl in the early stages of her pregnancy. “To the Countdown and Kix, thank you for all you do glorifying country music and making it so special”. The award, which celebrates an iconic artist whose extraordinary talent has influenced generations of musicians, was presented by longtime friend and 2014 NASH Icon recipient Reba McEntire.
