Severe weather threat in Virginia Monday afternoon, evening
Saturday could start with a few showers and continuing mostly cloudy skies.

COOLER AIR IS ON THE WAY: We will have improving weather on Tuesday as cooler and drier air settles in.
Tuesday will see more clouds with a slight chance of showers by afternoon. For Tuesday, highs will be in the mid to upper 60s at the beaches and in the mid 70s inland. Highs will be around 60. We’ll close out the workweek with abundant cloud cover and highs in the lower 60s at best.
On top of the frequent showers and rain chances, skies will be mostly cloudy too for the beginning of the month.
There’s a 50 percent chance of off-and-on showers Wednesday and Thursday.
Thursday, the high temperature is expected to be 69 degrees. The morning and early afternoon will be dry.
Breezy outside with wind from the south 10 to 20 and gusty.
A beach hazards statement has been issued for Ventura County through Monday morning as elevated surf and strong rip currents are expected, according to the National Weather Service.

The low Monday evening will be around 44 degrees in Worcester, 46 in Springfield and Boston.
