GOP candidates get busy lobbying Pennsylvania’s free agent delegate bounty

Trump said, as he appeared to be confident of bagging the party’s presidential nomination despite being quite far away from the necessary 1237 delegates to get this.

Sanders, Dem for life: Look for Bernie Sanders to stay a Democrat even after his primary election against Clinton.

A new CBS poll shows Trump still has a commanding lead in Pennsylvania, but Pennsylvania does have a unique primary on April 26th, in that it leaves most of the state’s delegates free to “vote their conscience” at the Republican National Convention in July.

According to an Associated Press report, Republican Party officials say they expect an onslaught of delegate persuasion to begin in earnest after the election. “New York state has problems like virtually every other state in the union”.

Trump said at Trump Tower in Manhattan that people of NY know him the best and he described getting the support of the residents as “just incredible”. His campaign was optimistic that he would win in NY, considering his previous string of victories in smaller states.

The remarks were made after Trump’s aides said he would project a more serious image after his win in New York’s nominating contest this week. Ohio Gov. John Kasich came in second while Cruz was a distant third.

Despite this, Clinton ended March with more cash on hand than Sanders, who spent almost $46 million over the course of the month.

Lewandowski also said DE is a winner-take-all state with 16 delegates up for grabs. Jon Karl, lots of states in play. Democrats survived and prospered after Clinton vs. Obama in 2008, and they will quickly unify to stop Trump or Cruz in 2016. Burden concurred, saying Wisconsin changed the terms of the debate.

Money, meanwhile, is no problem for Trump, who boasts about self-funding his campaign. After that, the delegates can vote for someone else. Cruz did not win any, prompting Trump adviser Sarah Huckabee Sanders to urge him on CNN on Wednesday to “get out of the way” once the math of delegate counts makes it impossible for him to prevail. His strategy has been to cull the delegate slots where he is able to at state conventions. It’s a powerful argument that will grow stronger if he wins more contests in the way he won NY.
