If Cruz does tap Fiorina, will it help his campaign as it faces the next slate of primaries, including IN, which is sizing up to be critical for both Cruz and Trump.
The announcement of a running mate at this point in the campaign is unusually early. “The people of IN are very smart – they will see through this just like they saw through the already failed Kasich alliance”, Trump said.

If Cruz can win a large share of the Midwestern state’s 57 delegates, it will boost the chances that Trump will not be able to clinch the nomination on the convention’s first ballot. “Well guess what? Though the invincibility of a Trump nomination continues to build, Bush seemed confident it is still possible to block the billionaire businessman from becoming the GOP nominee.

Throughout her presidential bid, Fiorina emphasized her meteoric rise in the business world. “He’s losing and this is sort of a desperate move”. Then she revealed her softer side when she broke out into song before a festive IN crowd.
The Cruz campaign began teasing it with announcements about a coming announcement.
