Captain America: Civil War is the latest Marvel film and kicks of Phase 3.

Another thing that makes Spider-Man so iconic is the richness of his world.

Spider-man: Homecoming will be “a Sony Pictures production of a Marvel Studios film”, according to the Kevin Feige.

Fans have been gleefully awaiting the appearance of Spider-Man in Captain America: Civil War ever since getting a brief glimpse of the character in the film’s second trailer.

This does come as a good news for both the fans of the series and studio bosses alike. It just feels disingenuous to some wonderfully crafted characters in a rich, dark corner of the Marvel universe that, a few nods and winks aside, feels better left alone to do its thing, at least for now. That remains true even as the popularity of characters like Iron Man and Captain America has risen over the last decade. However, he also mentioned that Marvel Studios has only begun writing the script for “Spider-Man Homecoming”, and nothing is set in stone just yet until the final version of the script is finished.

We therefore get to the central point: why do the Defenders need to play a part in Avengers: Infinity War? Holland is the third movie Spider-Man, but he could have been the fourth or fifth or eighth if some of the previous Wall-Crawler movies that were planned had actually panned out. This is probably why Joe and Anthony chose to just focus on the movie superheroes to make the upcoming film a little bit manageable. It’s been almost ten years since the first Iron Man hit theaters and introduced us to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When asked by IGN what would get him back directing a Marvel film, Favreau said: “A great story”.
