Prince’s death is being investigated as possible overdose by police

Prince didn’t care if you were the world’s most famous reality TV star.

As previously reported, Prince was rushed to the hospital on the middle of that night. Given the early nature of the investigation, however, any speculation between Prince’s possible Percocet use and alleged lack of sleep would be premature; what’s more, Percocet is not prescribed as a sleeping pill.

His body was cremated on April 23, after which a private memorial service was held at his Paisley Park home. When medical help arrived, they gave the unconscious musician a Narcan shot – a drug administered when opioid overdoses are suspected.

However, Prince – who was said to have been diagnosed with HIV in the 1990s – is said to have told his friends: “God can – and will – cure me”. One possibility is the powerful painkiller Percocet or something similar, the official said.

He was even advised a hip replacement surgery, but he said to have denied the same since the operation required blood transfusion, a process that was strictly against his religious beliefs.

While it’s premature to say where the investigation is heading, the mention of a doctor calls to mind other celebrity deaths, including Michael Jackson’s.

Prescription drugs were found at Prince’s home when the musician was found dead on April 21. The news comes on the heels of a search warrant obtained by authorities to comb through the singer’s Paisley Park mansion for additional evidence. The official did not elaborate.

The sealing of the warrant means its contents can not be disclosed to the public.

CHANHASSEN, Minn. – Authorities investigating the death of music legend Prince found prescription opioid medication on him and in his Minnesota home, a law enforcement official told CNN.

Carver County Deputy Sheriff Jason Kamerud said that the reason why the Drugs Enforcement Agency (DEA) has been called in were inaccurate.

They have been contacted by a man who “appears to have a genuine back story and claim” for the $300m fortune as Prince’s “love child” with an unnamed woman. A report, which will include toxicology results, could “likely take weeks”, according to the medical examiner’s office. We dont know to what extent pharmaceuticals could be a part of this.”.
