The Browns desperately needed a playmaker and they now have one. And for offensive coordinator Norv Turner, he has his version of Michael Irvin, who he had as the offensive coordinator in Dallas two decades ago.
Notre Dame fans shouldn’t have too many complaints as we watched as 7 players went drafted, which matched both Alabama and Florida.
The Bears deserve credit for trading up two spots, jumping the New York Giants at No. 10, to get their guy. With the 9th overall selection in the first round, the Chicago Bears selected Georgia outside linebacker Leonard Floyd.
Quirks and all, Perry is one of the nicest players around – so long as you don’t call him Josh. He was rated high on Mel Kiper’s board, and although he is a safety, he has cornerback skills and many have him playing that position in the NFL. Beyond the hilariousness of NFL Network on-air talents saying the phrase “bong hit out of a gas mask” the story was covered well, and Deion Sanders’ interview with Tunsil has been the go-to for sound bites on Friday morning, making it all-around good work from everyone involved. It very well could be more of the same tonight in the second round.
