The defense team handed out a packet during the conference with the results of a lie detector test that he took in an attempt to prove his innocence along with information regarding the victim’s criminal history.

“She’s not developmentally disabled”, Ken Rosenfeld, another defense attorney, said.
Stubblefield’s attorney said there is no evidence to support the allegations. “I am not a ideal man but the allegations against that come a year after a consensual encounter with another woman are totally false”. “I will defend myself with all of my strength”. It was the allegations by that fiance that prompted Stubblefield to leave Valley Christian in 2009. Bail for the former star athlete has been set at $260K and he could face up to 16 years in prison if convicted.
Rosenfeld also took issue with how the DA’s office handled the case, including taking a year to bring charges, not informing Stubblefield about it until about two months ago, and not giving Stubblefield the chance to surrender at the county jail; he was arrested at his children’s school.
“We are all saddened by the recent news regarding Dana and are praying for all concerned”, McMinn said. She has accepted plea deals in the past.
He gave to her so she could fix her auto, according to Rosenfeld.
Attorney Gary Winuk says the 45-year-old former defensive lineman is being unfairly targeted because of his wealth and celebrity.
Winuk also questioned prosecutor claims that the victim is developmentally disabled.
“This is a money grab”, Rosenfeld said.
According to prosecutors, the victim was looking for a baby sitting job online in April 2015 when she was contacted by Stubblefield for an interview. On the profile, his accuser wrote she is a 32-year-old female with 29 years of paid experience as a babysitter. For instance, she wrote under work and education in her Sittercity profile, “I fuller feeling lose weight”. I like Zumba. I need a job, I need payment doctor, dentist, sick, gas, phone, tax, light.
Stubblefield and the nanny he met through the site apparently failed to heed one piece of advice on the site: Meet for the first time in a public place.

McInerny declined to specify the nature of the victim’s developmental disability, but the Merc describes her as living with a “severe speech impediment”. He is being charged with five felony counts related to assault, according to the San Jose Mercury News, and he was in custody as of Monday night, with an arraignment set for Wednesday.
