Republican strategist Matt Rexroad is leaning towards Mr Cruz but said the selection of Ms Fiorina makes him question whether he will support the Texan senator.
“I will be voting for Ted Cruz”, said Pence, who called Cruz “a principled conservative” who has “shown the courage of his convictions”.
Pence said he admired Cruz for his willingness to confront the establishment in Washington and that the two share the same values-those of Ronald Reagan.

Meanwhile, famed basketball coach Bobby Knight is carrying the Trump standard across Indiana. “It helps, but it won’t be the deciding thing”, Katz said. “I think he’ll be able to round up more delegates, prevent Trump from getting the 1,237 [delegates needed to earn the nomination] and hopefully be able to take the nomination at the convention”.
Pence’s endorsement comes the same week Cruz named former Presidential candidate Carly Fiorina as his running mate- an unusual move at this point in the race. Heck, he was as – if not more – complimentary of Trump as he was of Cruz!
