Apple is rumored to unveil its updated Apple Music service at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June.

Apple Music is getting a complete overhaul including major improvements to its interface created to make it more intuitive to use, sources tell Bloomberg.

The dominance of Apple’s iTunes during the transition from physical to digital music sales had given way to the prevalance of streaming services when the company bought Beats, leading Jimmy Iovine and other Beats executives to convince Apple to pour its cash into the streaming service Beats had built at the expense of the planned rollout of iTunes Radio. There’s also supposed to be better integration of the streaming and download options of Apple Music.

Many people criticized the Apple Music software from the moment it launched previous year, following the Beats acquisition.

There have been a string of departures within Apple’s music streaming division, and Bloomberg claims that leadership issues have caused development on Apple Music to slow down.

Alongside a new Apple Music app, the firm is expected to showcase new versions of iOS, OS X, watchOS and tvOS during its keynote speech, giving our first clue as to what to expect from the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and Apple’s next-generation MacBooks.

Since Apple Music’s launch in June 2015, Apple has been reluctant to advertise the service to users who remain content to purchase their music from iTunes. After its initial trial period ended, American music industry analyst and critic Bob Lefsetz wrote, “Apple Music does the one key thing lousily too… If you have that kind of subscriber base, you should have millions of subscribers”, he said.
