Radiohead’s ninth album release introduced by chirping bird teaser

In January, eagle-eyed fans noticed that the band had quietly established a new company called Dawn Chorus LLP in October 2015 – which had previously done ahead of the band’s previous two albums.

It’s probably worth noting that the band also changed their Twitter avatar to this image.

Radiohead took a cue from one of their songs over the weekend and showed us how to disappear completely.

Radiohead have released a sinister video for new single Burn The Witch.

Lead singer Thom Yorke has also deleted all the tweets from his personal Twitter page.

The acclaimed five-piece from Oxford, England, has quietly erased its Internet presence, adding to mounting speculation that the release of the group’s ninth studio album is imminent.

British rock band Radiohead has reappeared online just days after vanishing from the internet, sharing a birdsong sung by an animated bird on social media. Then, fans in the United Kingdom received cryptic pamphlets with “BURN THE WITCH” written on them.

Following a year that’s already chock full of surprise releases, extensive delays and albums that are finished but then not really finished, Radiohead are weird and wonderful. Staccato music plays beneath, a combination of strings and guitars – perhaps a sample of new Radiohead music? The pre-“Lemonade” stunt, followed the band’s other attention-grabbing album release tactics, including the pay-what-you-want release of “In Rainbows”.

The band will kick off their summer tour on May 20th in Amsterdam during which fans expect to hear music from the long-awaited follow-up album to 2011’s The King of Limbs.
