As Trump wins, Clinton exploring how to win over Republicans

Ben Howe, a Republican strategist who has worked for Cruz, said he’d be actively working against Trump – a decision he recognizes means backing Clinton.

“I think Donald Trump is going to have the hardest time beating Hillary of all the candidates that ran for president”, he said.

How far will the woman card take Clinton?

Clinton vowed she wouldn’t let Trump knock her off her gameplan heading into November. “Not from you, obviously, but they do call it the Clinton Network”, Trump said.

The former presidential candidate said at least with Trump there’s a chance he’ll name a conservative to the Supreme Court or repeal Obamacare, and there is no shot with Clinton. “They want security. They want to have strong military”, he said.

Her national political director, Amanda Renteria, sought to walk back the comments that evening.

Amy Bishop, 42, a stay-at-home mom from Indianola, Iowa, said she wasn’t sure how she would vote.

Donald Trump on Monday condemned Hillary Clinton for saying she can handle men who go “off the reservation”, calling it demeaning to men and to Native Americans.

“I don’t feel like she’s honest and upfront”, said the self-identified independent.

Clinton said, “Well, you know, I’ve seen the presidency up close from two different perspectives, and I think I know what it takes, and I don’t think we can take a risk on a loose cannon like Donald Trump running our country”.

“I think he seriously would go half-cocked on everything”. But, said the 47-year-old, “there’s been too much negative stuff about her”.
