Joe and Anthony Russo, directors of Captain America: Civil War, have said that there’s room for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender characters within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was later revealed that 67 was more or less the number of characters already introduced in previous films.

Of course, there are grand slugfests full of exploding thingamajiggers, and they’re an interesting mix of old-school action, like an extended vehicle chase, and the centerpiece battle between a dozen team-vs. -team superheroes on a German airport tarmac.
Here, you see Captain America, Scarlet Witch, and Falcon on a mission to track down Crossbones, the movie’s more-obvious villain. I had heard of Black Panther, but I wasn’t very familiar with him. Unlike in Batman v. Superman where the two icons battle without really trying to understand one another, Civil War takes the time to set up why a conflict is necessary and how #TeamIronMan and #TeamCap are formed.
The movie is rated PG-13, it runs about two and a half hours and is available in 3D.

Looking for the 3D showing nearest you? The pace never flags, no scene seemed to run too long and the ideas were still coming to the very end. They’re worth staying for. After the Avengers were involved in several high-profile showdowns that caused civilian casualties, the government wants the superhero team to be subject to its authority and limitations. There you can meet Captain America and Spider-Man and ride The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man. But Civil War has also got some real issues and dilemmas on its mind.
