Planet ‘fever’ to cause exodus from Middle East, N
They added that climate change can result in a slow worsening of living conditions for people in North Africa and the Middle East.

Scorching temperatures brought on by climate change could leave large swaths of the Middle East and North Africa uninhabitable by the middle of this century, a new study predicts.
“If mankind continues to release carbon dioxide as it does now, people living in the Middle East and North Africa will have to expect about 200 unusually hot days, according to the model projections”, Panos Hadjinicolaou, associate professor at the Cyprus Institute, said.
The world faces a mass exodus of migrants from the Middle East and North Africa as climate change will send daytime temperatures soaring by the middle of the century. According to Johannes Lelieveld and colleagues, even if Earth’s average temperature were to increase by two degrees Celsius compared to pre-industrial times, the summer temperature in these regions would still increase more than twofold by the midpoint of the century.
They found that by the middle of the century temperatures in these regions would not drop lower than 30 degrees Celsius at night during the warmest periods, with temperatures potentially hitting 46 degrees Celsius during the day.
By the end of the century, midday temperatures on hot days could even climb to 50 degrees Celsius, researchers said. In 2100 the unusual heat could reach as many as 118 days per year, almost four whole months.
From North Africa and from the Middle East, a slice of the world that hosts 500 million people, a new migratory wave will be set in motion towards the north, putting pressure on European coasts.
An estimated one-third of people in the Middle East and North Africa have paid a bribe to government officials for basic services such as health care and electricity, watchdog group Transparency International reported.
In addition, an uptick in air pollution and sandstorms will rise due to prolonged droughts caused by climate change.
London- Climate change will soon transform both North Africa and the Middle East into an uninhabitable zone. In the first model, global warming are controlled by the reductions of greenhouse gases, while the second model has no changes in the rate of global warming. Both projections predict that by 2050 the global temperature will be close to or have already exceeded the 2°C (3.6°F) target set past year in Paris. “Many people feel that they can make a difference in the fight against corruption.Unfortunately even in Tunisia, despite the Arab Spring, still the majority of people were saying that their government is doing badly at fighting corruption”, said Pring.

A 2C global temperature increase doesn’t mean that temperatures go up by 2 degrees everywhere. In most other regions of the world, in winter This is primarily due to the desert areas such as the Sahara, as deserts buffering heat very poorly and hot air masses on the surface cannot be cooled by the evaporation of soil water.
