US Republican presidentialpresumptive nominee Donald Trump has said he is interested in vetting Ohio Governor John Kasich, the last among his party rivals to drop out of the race to the White House, as his vice presidential pick.

Clinton, a former secretary of state, said Trump would have to offer policy specifics in ahead of the 8 November presidential election and criticized him for his positions on issues including nuclear weapons and abortion.

Trump still needs about 200 delegates to formally secure the nomination, but Cruz’s decision to end his campaign removed his last major obstacle. Top campaign aides vowed that the governor would stay in the race, even after Ted Cruz, who formed an informal alliance with Kasich, suspended his campaign.

And Reince Priebus, chairman of the Republican National Committee, tweeted that Donald Trump is the presumptive GOP nominee Tuesday night. He encourages Republicans who aren’t supporting Trump to continue to support down-ballot Republicans.

Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse, who has consistently said he could not support Trump, wrote on Twitter Tuesday that he was being asked if the IN results changed his views.

“I am confident I can unite much of the GOP”, Trump said yesterday as several prominent Republicans said they would prefer Democrat Hillary Clinton over the NY billionaire. And this is more than a campaign spin: the suggestion bears out in the polls. With that being said, would I win? I withheld an endorsement during the heat of the primary because it was the job of the voters to select the person they wanted more than me. These connections don’t look good for either candidate, but especially not for Hillary Clinton who is working to herd the support for Sanders into her own campaign.

Mr Kasich was visibly emotional as he thanked his family and staff.

On the Democratic side, the race is also just about over.
