The Germany worldwide was expected to be sidelined for about four weeks after spraining ankle ligaments against Borussia Dortmund on April 14.

“But this group of players needs to be proud of what they have achieved as we are already qualified for the Champions League”.

“You can’t really say Europa owes us a final as lots of teams have that desire but we have the ambition, will and desire to give everything we can to get to the final”, he said.

“Hendo is in a good way for England [at Euro 2016] but I’m not sure about for Liverpool”, added the German.

“He’s not been on the pitch until now”.

Christian Benteke halved the deficit after recess, but the Ghanaian was on hand to restore Swansea’s two goal lead three minutes later.

On Sturridge, he said: “I was waiting for this question”. “The rest we have to see”.

One player who could help change how proceedings go during the game is Emre Can as reported The Sun.

Liverpool fans are once again preparing to welcome the team coach into Anfield by meeting on the Anfield Road before kick off.

“We know we have 90-something minutes”.

“It’s not that from now on I always expect wonders from us or the crowd in hard close games, but against Dortmund we all felt how big the influence is of an outstanding atmosphere”. I am still feeling this, so the feeling is we are halfway through and I know how hard it is.

“It’s a moment-I don’t want to make it too big-but it’s a moment for the whole Liverpool world”.
