James Blake to Drop New Album Tonight, ‘The Colour in Anything’
Since the new year, British producer James Blake has been teasing material from his new album. When Mac asked about any other noteworthy items on The Colour In Anything, he replied: “Well, we grow a little older, and hopefully a little wiser”.

On Twitter, James Blake shared a photo of the album’s tracklist.
The Colour In Anything is a massive, seventeen track LP that seems to chart a fairly straight course on Blake’s sonic trajectory. (The title has changed since then.) Blake debuted the recorded version of “Radio Silence” on Annie Mac’s show, as well as “I Need a Forest Fire”, a collaboration with Bon Iver.
Blake revealed that he split time recording the record in London and Rick Rubin’s Shangri La Studios in Malibu. Listen to the interview below.
Blake premiered “I Need A Forest Fire” and “Radio Silence” on the BBC’s Radio 1 earlier today.
Blake has delivered his album campaign as a drip-by-drip process, releasing his music slowly.

He also told Pitchfork that Kanye West never actually ended up on the album: “Something was supposed to happen; I don’t really know how to describe how that didn’t work out”.
