Rare Replay could get even more games

If you never experienced the challenge of Battletoads or the magic of Banjo-Kazooie now is your chance.

Bringing together 30 classic titles from Rare‘s long history, this collection is full of a lot of great games at a fantastic price, but it sounds like even more Rare titles could be added in the future. Rare lead engineer James Thomas stated on a Twitch livestream that choosing games for the collection was tough but there “could be space for more”. The team specifically name dropped Taboo: The Sixth Sense, a 1989 Tarot card-reading title, though it’s unclear if the typically cheeky developer was just joking around or if they actually intend on adding that game down the road.

“But that’s what made choosing the thirty so hard in the first place”. This meant that some had to put aside their preferences and go with a wide range of titles that show off Rare well. This should be enough to satisfy just about any Rare enthusiast and nostalgia hunters.

There are large number of games that didn’t make it into the game due to licensing issues.

There will also be new, modern game mechanics added to the classics according to the official press release.
