Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said Villarreal will have a much tougher time of it at Anfield than they did on their home turf ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final second-leg clash.

Swansea City forward Andre Ayew is over the moon after scoring twice in his side’s 3-1 defeat of Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.

“I think it will not be the same game as against Dortmund, but even then, they were one of the best teams in Europe and we won against them”. “These players gave me a lot of positive signs about their qualities”.

“We have great players, we have great characters in the team, but it won’t be the same game as against Dortmund”.

Klopp is determined to put on a show in the semi final, and he insisted his side will go down fighting, no matter the outcome.

He added: “We didn’t get through with average performances and a big portion of luck – it was most of the time really deserved”. But it’s a moment for the whole Liverpool world and fans around the world. “And in all of this of course Daniel Sturridge is involved”. “We will do everything for all of us”.

“Hendo is in a good way – a good way for England, I am not too sure how good a way it is for Liverpool in this case because he has not been on the pitch yet”, Klopp said to the Liverpool website.

Phil Thompson fears that the potential absence of Daniel Sturridge from Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up against Villarreal on Thursday could signal the end of his Liverpool career.

A Villarreal goal would leave the hosts requiring three to reach the final – which is not an impossible task considering their have scored 14 in their last four home games.

“If we can create with our game a similar atmosphere as Dortmund then it will be much more hard for Villarreal than they imagine in this moment”, Klopp told a news conference. “These moments when you really know we are all together”, explained the charismatic German, full of passion and vigor.
