Israel seals Palestinian Territories for Passover
A young Palestinian died of his wounds from a Jerusalem bus bombing this week, an Israeli hospital said Wednesday. “The attack wounded 20 civilians, one of them severely, seven moderately, and the others lightly”, the statement added. Israel has seen an increased level of violence since October of past year. Israeli forces have killed at least 191 Palestinians, 130 of whom Israel says were assailants. “This is a group that wants to destroy Jewish Israel, to destroy this country from within, to turn it into a state of hatred and to destroy the regime from within”, she said.

Palestinian Red Crescent medics said 16 Palestinians sustained injuries during the clashes, including four who were hit by rubber-coated steel bullets and 12 who suffered from tear gas suffocation.
Experts and members of Congress from both sides of the aisle indicated their opposition to a United Nations Security Council resolution imposing terms of a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict at a hearing in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
Police initially said they were looking at the possibility that a technical fault caused the fire in Derech Hebron, an area in south-west Jerusalem close to the boundary with the Israeli-occupied West Bank.
Israeli media reported two soldiers lightly wounded.
“As Passover approaches, all sorts of extremists will spread lies about our policy concerning the Temple Mount”, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last week.
Also Wednesday, the Israeli military demolished the home of a Palestinian who carried out a lethal stabbing attack in a West Bank Jewish settlement in January. Their visits, along with those by right-wing Israeli lawmakers, are viewed by Muslims and Palestinians as a provocation and threat to the status quo.
Suicide bombings on Israeli buses were a hallmark of the intifada of 2000-2005, but have been rare since.
A spokesman for Hamas in Qatar, Husam Badran, said “This attack affirms to everyone one that our people will not abandon the resistance path”.
