Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan won a Daytime Emmy yesterday for their talk show, capping a turbulent few days which saw Ripa storm off over her co-presenter’s decision to quit.

Lines On Kelly Ripa’s Face?
Kelly Ripa may be rejoined by an old friend when Michael Strahan leaves Live With Kelly and Michael next week.
Strahan’s impending departure from “Live with Kelly and Michael” was announced last month. Kelly Ripa even said that she and Michael Strahan didn’t know that they won the Daytime Emmy award until they received text messages full of congratulations, according to People.
“We still love you, Kelly!” shouted one person sitting in the audience.
But on Monday, Kelly and Michael walked out hand-in-hand where they showed off their gorgeous golden statues.
“We’ll remember. We’ll reminisce”. What was once thought to be ideal chemistry between the pint-sized Ripa and her giant NFL Hall of Fame co-host is now being re-examined through a jaded lense – and tension is seen all over in retrospect. “So join us for Michael’s Flashback Friday Farewell on Friday the 13th”. While Ripa was laughing after the ordeal, Strahan didn’t appear amused and said of the armadillo, “He’s got a nice smell to him”. “You literally can not plan it”.

The late-night host, whose “Jimmy Kimmel Live” is based in Los Angeles, will be in NY next week for his annual appearance at ABC’s upfront presentation, set to take place the following night at 4 p.m. “I’m looking forward to [GMA], but I still look forward to going to work at Live!”.
