Judge issues bond conditions for Johnny Manziel
Last week Manziel’s bond amount was set at $1,500 following his indictment by a grand jury; his attorney told NBC 5 Manziel paid the bond Wednesday in Highland Park and is expected to appear in a Dallas County courtroom Thursday.

The embattled former Cleveland Browns quarterback was ordered not to contact his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, in any way – no calls, text or emails, even if Crowley initiates the conversation – and to not go near her.
Manziel was indicted for misdemeanor assault in April following the alleged domestic-violence incident in January, where he allegedly hit Crowley several times.
Manziel could face up to a year in jail and $4,000 in fines.
A status hearing is set for June 24.
Manziel became known as “Johnny Football” after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2012 as the best player in college.
“The misdemeanor all comes down to serious bodily injury”, said Dallas defense attorney Toby Shook, a former top Dallas County prosecutor who is not involved in the Manziel case.
The court appearance came a day after Manziel was booked in the upscale Dallas enclave of Highland Park.
An hour before Manziel’s court appearance, 16 television cameras were positioned inside and around the Frank Crowley Courts Building. Manziel has said he will work to return to the National Football League in 2016, but no team has shown interest in signing him.
Since the 2015 season ended, Manziel has been dumped by two agents after both demanded a second trip to rehab, and he also faces potential punishment from the NFL.
Crowley said Manziel threatened her, restrained her and hit her in the head, causing her to lose hearing in one ear. She said he forced her into a vehicle and a valet disregarded her pleas for help.

Crowley also accused Manziel of kidnapping her by forcing her into the auto.
