Bernie Sanders Says Clinton Faces ‘Contested’ Convention
Only about half of Indiana GOP voters are excited or even optimistic about any of the remaining Republican candidates becoming president.

In an interview with NPR that aired Thursday, the Vermont senator said he’s staying in the race “till the last vote is counted”.
Sanders said on Sunday his path to nomination is hard, but not impossible. Clinton has a lead in pledged delegates of more than 300.
While talking about his chances, Sanders said, “It’s virtually impossible for Secretary Clinton to reach the majority of convention delegates by June 14 with pledged delegates alone”. But both campaigns have begun to set their sights on California and the tussle begins in earnest today for the state’s 475 delegates, as early primary voting gets underway next week. The May 17 OR primary and the June 7 primaries in Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota should also prove fertile ground for Sanders, based on his demographic and regional support to date. That would require sweeping victories by Sanders in coming states large and small, including California, where Clinton holds a lead in polling.
There are still 12 delegates left to be allocated. Sanders said after Trump won IN IN that he doesn’t have the demeanor, policy background or ideas to become president. About a third choose either Kasich or Cruz and 15% say their second choice is someone other than the remaining three candidates.
Nonetheless, the Sanders team will view the IN result as an important vindication of their decision to keep pressuring superdelegates to change their minds. However, in states in which he has won (or may yet win) by wide margins, he said, those delegates should simply reflect the will of the voters, not to mention general election prospects. “I don’t think you are qualified if you’ve supported virtually every disastrous trade agreement, which has cost us millions of decent-paying jobs”.
Clinton entered April with $29 million in the bank compared with $17 million for Sanders.
They also said the transfers between state parties and DNC are to pay for campaigns that “will coordinate with local, state and federal Democratic campaigns to work to elect progressives across the country in November”.
Reince Priebus took to Twitter Tuesday after Ted Cruz ended his bid for the GOP nomination, saying that Donald Trump “will be presumptive @GOP nominee, we need to unite and focus on defeating @HillaryClinton”. I think our numbers will surprise people. It isn’t over for the voters in West Virginia. Clinton apologized for that remark this week.
Rachel Maddow is coming out against Bernie Sanders’s controversial commitment to contest the Democratic presidential nomination at the national convention in July.
“I think that he is not somebody who, even within the Republican Party, can be considered as equipped to deal with the problems of this office”, said the president.

He added that his climate change legislation includes $41 billion to help displaced workers get education, job training and unemployment benefits.
