Jared Leto eyed for ‘Interview With the Vampire’ remake
Naturally, fans of The Vampire Chronicles have been speculating who might be cast as the vain, sensual and cunning vampire Lestat de Lioncourt, previously played by Tom Cruise in the 1994 movie directed by Neil Jordan.

In this age of remakes, reboots and revivals, it’s not surprising that the pop-culture phenomenon “Interview With the Vampire” by Anne Rice is getting revisited by Hollywood. It died quickly at the box office, seemingly killing this franchise off for good.

Writer and director Josh Boone, who also adapted The Fault in Our Stars (this should be interesting), posted the title page of his upcoming screenplay on Instagram a couple weeks ago, and it’s a bit of a surprise. Let’s face it. Our actors are no longer actors, they’re commodities arranged strategically to make us purchase their brand. The second book in the cycle was totally ignored before, as Warner Bros skipped that book and went straight for book three, The Queen of the Damned. However now it appears that Boone has written a draft for a Interview with the Vampire remake instead. Tell us whether YOU think rebooting Interview is a good idea (below)!
