The design of the vehicle stays true to the concept that Nissan showcased at the 2014 São Paulo International Motor Show while the interiors are inspired by the next-gen Micra concept.

The kicks stretches 169 inches long, 69.2 inches wide, and 62.5 inches tall, dimensions that make it roughly half a foot longer than the funky Juke. The highlight of the dash is the mounted 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which also offers a 360-degree surround view camera. Other technologies include Nissan’s Around View surround camera system, and moving object detection, which uses the car’s cameras to display a bird’s-eye view of the auto, and alert the driver of any unseen hazards.

The wheelbase stands at 102.7 inches / 2610 mm, up by 3.1 inches / 80 mm compared to the Juke so rear passengers might get the better end of the deal. The Juke remains the most controversial design, but the arrival of the Kicks this week seems to imply a two-car strategy will be used for the firm’s B-segment offering.

“With Kicks, we have established a compact crossover in the very best Nissan custom, and thanks to the unmatched experience, we have in developing automobiles to satisfy the needs of car-buyers all over the world”, stated Keno Kato, business vice president of item planning at Nissan. The comany also revealed that ramp-up to full production of the Nissan Kicks will start within FY16 at Nissan facility in Resende, Rio de Janerio. And, it will demonstrate Nissan’s dedication to Nissan Intelligent Mobility.

Nissan is capitalizing on the rising popularity of compact crossovers with a brand new model called Kicks.
