Join the Cult – Hulu Original ‘The Path’ Renewed for a Second Season
“Over the past year, we’ve propelled Hulu by adding an extraordinary array of original series, hit broadcast and cable shows and blockbuster movies to our content portfolio-all of which has led to incredible growth in subscribers and engagement”, said Hulu’s CEO, Mike Hopkins.

The Path, which concludes its 10-episode first season on 25 May, stars Paul and Michelle Monaghan as a married couple wrapped up in a cult-like religious movement.
The Streaming service announced it will renew both the popular comedy “The Mindy Project”, for a fifth season, as well as “The Path”, starring former “Breaking Bad” star Aaron Paul, for a second season.
Deadline reported that Hulu announced the renewal at their Upfront presentation in NY on Wednesday, May 4.
In many ways, The Mindy Project is one of the best possible examples of how the streaming landscape has changed the way television is produced and consumed. Seeing potential in continuing the series, Hulu rescued the show and produced a fourth season.
Those who have been following “The Mindy Project” since the first season, will remember that the comedy first appeared on Fox. The company is launching Hulu Documentary Films with the exclusive streaming video on-demand rights to the Oscar winner’s feature doc, The Beatles: Eight Days a Week. In addition, the special Triumphs Election Special, will air sometime later in 2016.
More announcements about Hulu’s upcoming programming are coming later today.

Aside from “The Mindy Project”, Hulu also ordered an election-themed special courtesy of Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog, which will debut later in the year.
