‘Neil and Gylfi are injured so it’s better they rest and be okay for next season.
“Ash is the skipper, a good player and leader, and he is very important for me and our team”.
West Ham United’s hopes of playing Champions League football next season were all but extinguished with a surprise home defeat to mid-table Swansea City on Saturday.
FRANCESCO Guidolin has insisted Swansea City will benefit in the long term as a number of key players get set to miss the rest of the season.
If he is in charge, Guidolin says Swansea will return for pre-season training on July 4, while their Euro 2016 players would be expected back around 10 days later.
Jefferson Montero is also missing, but Guidolin has promised West Ham’s rivals for European qualification that Swansea are still capable of causing a shock at what will be the Boleyn Ground’s penultimate game before the Hammers move to the Olympic Stadium.
Swansea confirmed their Premier League status and a sixth-straight top flight season with a 3-1 win against Liverpool.
‘I have the chance to see some players who don’t play much and this is important for the future of our club and our players’.
The report claims that the former Liverpool boss has agreed to a deal worth 90,000 pounds a week ($130M) to replace Francesco Guidolin, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
“I was relieved that we delivered our aim to secure Premier League safety – it was an important personal target for me”.
Supporters chanted Guidolin’s name following the win – a third in five games – and the veteran said: “That was a nice surprise”.
