While progress is being made with Fox and Disney, no agreements have been reached with Comcast in regards to licensing any of their channels to the Hulu subscription.

The Internet TV service could allow Hulu users to purchase bundled networks for viewing.
BTIG analyst Richard Greenfield weighed in on Hulu’s reported plan in a blog post (registration required) yesterday, holding that programmers are caught in a Catch-22 as they consider direct-to-consumer, OTT distribution options. Sling TV slots in at $20. With this move, Hulu would have a great deal more to offer, which is why sources say the company wants to launch the service by early 2017.
Comcast’s NBCUniversal (NASDAQ: CMCSA) unit is in talks with its partners in the joint venture Hulu, Disney and Fox, about joining the duo in providing networks to a live-streamed Hulu skinny bundle.
At the moment, Hulu is an on demand television and movie streaming service much like Netflix or HBO Go. Though, the yet to be named Hulu service may not be the immediate answer to loads of answers consumers are asking; it does offer some measures of hope. The new service-which Hulu confirmed would cost about $40 a month-would make the streaming service a competitor to traditional pay-TV providers and other new digital entrants. Streaming services are quickly catching up to the long-standing TV format but there is one major setback should you made a decision to skip the cable bill: you’ll have to wait until the next day to watch your coveted show.
But Hulu’s new service will likely standout from the others.
The search engine giant Google also tried with bundles via YouTube Red that offered a music service in addition to new original content and site’s vast video library.
Perhaps Hulu and similar companies can brainstorm costs and services. “We don’t have to do everything to be part of that expansion”, the executive said. That would give subscribers access to ABC, the Disney Channel and ESPN as well as Fox news and “national and regional sports channels”, the report said.
