Newly tapped Cruz running mate rips Donald Trump as Hillary-like
Donald Trump ripped his rival Ted Cruz for naming Carly Fiorina as his running mate, but the real-estate mogul kept uncharacteristically quiet about Fiorina herself at a rally Wednesday night.

“There are a significant number of major fundraisers in the Republican Party whose networks are exhausted and donors who are worn thin emotionally from the effort they made for a candidate who is no longer in the race”, said Wayne Berman, a longtime Republican fundraiser.
Democratic presidential candidate, Sen.
But Cruz and Kasich aim to slow his momentum just enough to force a battle for delegates on the convention floor.
Trump carried the state last week with 60.8% of the vote, capturing all 16 of the delegates up for grabs. The arrangement – Kasich would leave IN and Cruz would vacate OR and New Mexico – doesn’t guarantee Cruz will pick up voters left behind OR unhappy with Trump, however. Trump has amassed 987 of the 1,237 Republican national convention delegates he needs to secure the nomination, to 562 for Cruz and 153 for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, 63, the third remaining candidate, according to the Associated Press.
Before an audience of foreign-policy experts in Washington, Trump outlined a doctrine that he said would put American interests first, leaving allies to fend for themselves if they don’t contribute financially to back up security agreements. “In Indiana you vote Cruz – in OR you vote Kasich”.
Speculation started swirling earlier in the day after Cruz teased that he had a “major announcement” to make later in the afternoon.
“I felt pretty insulted as a previous Kasich supporter”, she said.
Trump supporter, Kris Kvarnstrom, worries about Cruz’s conservative stand on abortion and said a President Cruz would replace retiring justices of the U.S. Supreme Court with judicial nominees that reflect his views. “And I have to say that I have no doubt that my high school basketball coach was horrified that I stumbled in speaking and called the rim a ring”. Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard chief executive, was frequently praised for her tough criticism of Clinton during her own presidential campaign and also irritated Trump with her sharp retorts during GOP debates.
Wisconsin was not a great fit for Donald Trump, but he didn’t help himself by going on a crusade against Heidi Cruz.
Cruz, from Texas, is trailing the former reality TV star in the Midwestern state after losing to him by a wide margin in all five Northeastern states that held nominating contests on Tuesday.

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence has given Cruz a lukewarm endorsement, so perhaps the Texas senator will get a boost from that. “I think people are exhausted of a political class that promises much and delivers much of the same”, the statement said. “With that being said, I think I’ll win anyway”.
