NFL Draft 2016: Jonathan Bullard selected by the Chicago Bears

It’s not often you see an National Football League kicker drafted in the first 60 picks, as the Bucs did Friday in trading up to take Florida State’s Roberto Aguayo at No. 59 in the second round. He played both guard and right tackle at Kansas State. Whitehair finished his time in Manhattan with more than a dozen awards, including being named all Big-12 first team this past season.

Chicago acquired the 124th overall pick from the Seahawks, and Southern Utah’s Miles Killebrew could be the answer to the team’s woes at the strong safety position. “I understand that. But on the flip side, if we did, I’d be like, we really could have gotten somebody who can help me right now”. This defensive collapse can be mostly pinned on the lack of physicality in the run game. Here are the 10 players the Bears drafted that Fox has to work with.

Than going into the 3rd round the Bears made a decision to keep this one and make an actual pick and with that pick select their other starting Defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard.

I also don’t believe the Bears had a need at his position, which isn’t particularly critical because I don’t think a team ever should reach for need.

Watching game film of Bullard indicates that he should have probably been a second round pick for the Bears.

To say it was a great value pick is one thing, but try the best value pick in the entire draft, because that’s exactly what the Bears just might have gotten.

Chicago has three fourth-round picks, a fifth-rounder, two sixth-rounders and one selection in the seventh round on Saturday. In his last year at University of Florida the four-year player recorded 6.5 sacks, 18.0 tackles for loss and 63 total tackles.

Bullard unquestionably was productive during his four seasons and 35 starts at UF.

“It’s a different ball game and when you get into the fourth round”, Kiper said.
