The camera on the upcoming Moto G is likely to feature Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF), which is known to focus on a subject in less than a second.

Although the company has yet to release an official statement with regard to the rumored device, tech observers have reason to believe that the next flagship model from Motorola is meant to bring back the brand back into the tight smartphone market. Although, the invite does not mention any specific product, but it is quite clear that Moto G (3rd Gen) is now one year old and there is no other phone in the stable of Motorola and hence Moto G (4th Gen) would be the ideal bet. Motorola is yet to confirm the exact release date of Moto G4.

The company may launch the nex-gen Moto G in two versions: standard version and a Plus version.

There has been some chatter surrounding the next generation Moto G in recent months, so we could be looking at the next installment of the firm’s reasonably priced, yet well-tooled smartphone. The smartphones will be equipped by a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera.

Motorola recently sent out invitations for their big event on May 17. The Moto G4 Plus, with its premium specs, is expected to come at a premium price point as well.

Apparently, the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus might be different in either size and features or just features. Other rumoured specs include 16GB of internal memory and colour options of Black and White.

The phone is also reported to be already in an Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
