He elaborated by saying, “I was at the last SFL show in Dubai, watching the guys in my weight closely”. He messed me around a lot so I wouldn’t take that fight. Trout, who was fresh off a breakthrough win over Cotto, was poised in the early going against Alvarez, in this battle of unbeaten fighters.
“I watched what he was eating and I don’t think he’s had any problem putting on the weight, I think it’s for the better for him”. This is speed vs. power.

Said Hopkins: “It’s not too premature to fight [Golovkin]. What does is skill, speed, power, intelligence and experience”. He freely admits that he is not going to be the heavier hitter in the ring Saturday night and has no plans to stand and slug with Alvarez. I’m not going to be thinking I’m stronger than Canelo.
