Ronaldo reiterates desire for Zidane to continue as Madrid coach
Gareth Bale has handed Wales fans a injury scare after it was revealed he will miss Real Madrid’s crunch La Liga clash with Valencia with a knee strain.

With just two games to go, Madrid are third on the table, a point behind Atletico and Barcelona who are only separated by goal difference at the summit.
Bale suffered the injury to his right knee during Madrid’s Champions League semi-final victory over City at the Bernabeu in midweek.
Guardiola, who took over from Jupp Heynckes after Bayern had won the domestic double and the Champions League in 2013, will join Premier League side Manchester City next season.
“When we reach May 14 [the day of their final La Liga game] we will have time to prepare for the final”.
Atletico Madrid captain Gabi has no doubt “the suffering was worth it” against Bayern Munich. Madrid advanced with a 1-0 aggregate win after a scoreless first-leg draw in England last week.
“There are no favorites”, said Zidane, a Champions League victor with Madrid in 2002.
“We’ve won 10 games in a row and we have to keep going, we’ve got two games left, two finals”, said Zidane.
Gareth Bale, whose cross deflected off Fernando for an own goal that proved decisive in the win over City, put Madrid 2-1 up in that game, but Paco Alcacer levelled nearly immediately against the 10-man visitors.
“In the end, we are rivals but I have a special affection for him”.
But they were denied a path back into the match after referee Damir Skomina failed to show Real substitute Lucas Vazquez a clear red card following his shocking tackle on Raheem Sterling.
He said: “Benzema will be with us, he is ready to play”.

While Madrid may yet bag a double under Zidane this season, Bale and Navas’ injuries may affect the narrative, especially if they turn out to be long term.
