Kasich had been scheduled to appear on Wednesday morning near Washington, D.C., but abruptly canceled his press conference and replaced it with one in Columbus, Ohio.
John Kasich will reportedly drop out of the presidential GOP race, reports FOX News.
“There’s no question from my perspective that Governor Kasich’s the best choice to be president of the United States”, Starr said, calling Kasich “the only Republican candidate that beats Hillary Clinton in a head-to-head”.
From 17 candidates down to one: Donald Trump is now officially alone in the race to for the Republican presidential nomination. A recent poll found Trump with the support of 53 percent of Republican participants, well above Cruz at 25 percent.

Hillary Clinton’s anti-Trump ad.
On finding a running mate, Trump said he will “probably go the political route”, saying he’s inclined to pick someone who can “help me get legislation passed”. Kasich placed last in the contest.
“But make no mistake, the extreme policies for which he has long fought, are virtually indistinguishable from those of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and the rest of the modern Republican Party”. After his win in Indiana, Trump has 1,007 delegates.
To boot, the three delegates-elect from the 4th Congressional District, which includes York County, ran on the platform that they’d vote for him at the party’s July convention no matter what. The former secretary of state lost the IN primary to tenacious challenger U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, but remains on course to become her party’s nominee.

Elizabeth says, “I’m conservative, so yes, I will vote for Trump, even though I feel he’s simply the lesser of two evils”. That clears the path for Trump, a nominal Presbyterian who has had difficulty pronouncing a book of the Bible, to be the GOP nominee.
