1 injured, 1 in custody after shooting in area of church

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said the disagreement escalated from an 11 a.m. “disturbance” at Keystone Fellowship Church in North Wales. Police say that the shooter was cooperating with their investigation but he has not been charged or taken into custody. The man had a concealed carry permit for his semiautomatic handgun, he said.

A worshipper told WPVI-TV she saw church ushers arguing with Mr Braxton at the 11am service, before one of the ushers shot him.

One victim was taken to Lansdale Hospital, where his condition was not released.

Hundreds of people were at the Keystone Fellowship Church service when the shooting occurred.

Keystone Fellowship Church will hold a prayer service Monday at 7 p.m.at its Schwenksville campus – 13 miles away from the Montgomeryville campus of the church, where the shooting happened.

As no video exists of the deadly disagreement, investigators are busy interviewing everyone who was in the church at the time of the shooting.

A church member was shot dead yesterday and another is in custody after an altercation at a church in Pennsylvania.

White said, “We are going to remember his life tonight and just pray for his family”. The post added, “Our congregation is in prayer for everyone involved”. It happened in the seating area in the back of the church.

On Sunday afternoon, seven parishioners returned and prayed outside the church under the protection of local law enforcement.

Relatives say he was very dedicated to his church and close to family. We serve a God who brings good out of the most tragic of circumstances, and I believe that we have an opportunity to unite as the body of Christ and overcome evil with good. He said police were still speaking with witnesses to understand what led to the altercation and what exactly transpired between the two churchgoers.
