‘Kejriwal must apologise to nation’: BJP defends Modi in degree row
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is shamelessly indulging in the politics of “spit and run”, adding the AAP supremo has failed to deliver on the promises made to the people.

“We are putting both the degrees of the Prime Minister, the Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University and the MA from Gujarat University in public domain”, Shah told in a press conference he addressed with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.
BJP president Amit Shah said the Aam Aadmi Party has brought down the level of political debate to such a low that any allegations can be levelled against an opponent without any basis.
He was ashamed to be displaying the country’s Prime Minister’s degree in a conference like this, he said.
Over the last few days, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has raised the issue prominently, alleging that PM Modi doesn’t have any BA degree from Delhi University. BJP is cursing Soniaji (Gandhi) but not arresting her. Congress is not questioning the PM’s degree.
“Arvind Kejriwal tried to turn a blatant lie into truth and create confusion among public by saying PM’s degrees are fake”, he said. Kejriwal said. “I urge you to take steps for these documents to be secured. This from a political party whose leaders are being prosecuted and investigated”, union minister Jaitley said. Some reports suggest he hasn’t done it. According to sources, neither admission form, nor marksheet, no certificate or any other record is present with DU.

The CIC, acting on a letter from Mr. Kejriwal, had asked Delhi University and Gujarat University to “make best possible search for the information regarding degrees in the name of Mr. Narendra Damodardas Modi in the year 1978 (Graduation in DU) and 1983 (Post Graduation in GU) and provide it to the appellant Mr Kejriwal as soon as possible”.
