Yes, John Kasich Is Still Running For President
Ted Cruz should endorse them rather than Donald Trump, who rebranded the Texas Republican “Lyin’ Ted” before forcing him out of the GOP primary with a crushing victory in IN on Tuesday.

As the votes were tallied for his win in Indiana’s primary, Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders spoke to around 7,000 people at Waterfront Park May 3.
“I plan to put all of my support behind the Republican nominee and do whatever is asked of me to ensure a Republican is elected president”, said Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas, in a statement that lacked Trump’s name. “But make no mistake, the extreme policies for which he has long fought, are virtually indistinguishable from those of Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, and the rest of the modern Republican Party”.
Clinton, meanwhile, suffered a shock upset in IN as her rival Bernie Sanders mounted a come-from-behind victory, denying the former first lady and USA senator a feather in her cap as she moves closer to claim her party’s nomination.
But to this observer, anyway, it seems more likely that Trump was just “projecting an image”, as his team reportedly suggested a couple of weeks ago to Republican leaders when speaking behind closed doors.
IN was the moment when Cruz said that, if Trump wins again, “America will plunge into the abyss”.
Last summer, when Trump entered the race, most of the other Republican candidates were still trying to become known in the largest GOP field in a generation.
Of course, his retirement doesn’t mean that he will support Trump now.
Kasich added, “as I suspend my campaign today, I have renewed faith, deeper faith, that the lord will show me the way forward and fulfill the objective of my life”. Aides to both Ryan and McConnell said the Republican leaders had not spoken with Trump since his IN victory. “I’m now leading Hillary”, he said to chants of ‘Trump! Trump said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”.
As for the Democrats, Sanders was a pleasant surprise. He added that Trump “is going to have to do a job of reaching out to conservatives”. Pollsters say Trump’s share of the vote drops when Democrats describe him as an “ego-maniac”, “disrespectful to women” and untrustworthy. Trump also began discussing the idea of his possible running mate, telling ABC News he wanted “a person with political experience” to compliment his own business acumen. But aides said he made the decision to drop out early Tuesday evening, shortly after most polls in IN had closed.
“In order to really govern, we need majorities in the House and Senate”.
Trump is reaching out to party heavyweights, hoping to fix his at-times strained relationships with the Republican National Committee and big GOP donors whom he bashed repeatedly during the primaries.
“But that’s his choice as to what he does on Election Day”, Diehl said.
“As I suspend my campaign today, I have renewed faith – deeper faith – that the Lord will show me the way forward”, the low-polling Kasich told supporters in Ohio.
Trump needs to unify the party to have any chance of beating Hillary Clinton, should she win the Democratic nomination.

“I know that the Clinton campaign thinks this campaign is over”. Clinton now has 2,202 delegates to Sanders’ 1,400.
